Terry Keeling Earns CTA Designation

Terry W. Keeling, CTA, MCC, of AWA Travel in Minneapolis recently earned the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation from The Travel Institute.

The Certified Travel Associate designation is conferred by The Travel Institue professionals who complete a regorous certification program, demonstrate essential industry knowledge and experience, and maintain high standards of professionalism.

The CTA curriculum covers four key skill areas for the working travel professional – Communication and Technology, Geography knowledge, Sales and Service, and Travel Industry Trends. The program is also designed to allow each candidate to tailor the program to meet their specific needs.

Terry has been a travel counselor for over 30 years. He speicalizes in cruises, tours, business travel management, incentive travel, groups, and planning individual customized travel, as well as honeymoons and destination weddings.

He is certified by the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) as a Master Cruise Councilor (MCC). The MCC is a designation conferred to dedicated travel professionals who have completed an extensive program of classroom training, cruise experience, ship inspections, and a combination of video training and attendance at industry events.

As a graduate of the College of Disney Graduate Program, Terry is a Disney Specialist, which indicates an individual who has attained a special knowledge of Disney Destinations (not an agent, affiliate or employee of Disney).
